How we vet recipient partners
At Wheels for Wishes, we take pride in partnering with organizations that meet rigorous accountability standards. We prefer working with Area Agencies on Aging-contracted providers and members of the Meals on Wheels America network. Our partners adhere to the Older Americans Act Title III-C nutrition standards, ensuring that programs are effective, trustworthy, and aligned with federal and state requirements. We prioritize programs with no or short waiting lists, indicating sufficient funding and availability for seniors in need.
How proceeds flow
When you donate a vehicle, 70-80% of the gross proceeds reach our partner organizations after covering tow and processing costs. These funds are then allocated according to a program ratio that maximizes the impact on senior meal programs.
